The new Express Entry System, launched January 1, 2015 enables skilled foreign workers to apply for Permanent Residency under the following economic immigration programs:
Step one: Candidates will be able to create a profile and be entered in the Express Entry pool. They also have to register with a job bank unless they have a job offer or a PNP nomination. Profiles remain in the pool for one year. The CIC (Citizenship and Immigration Canada) will rank selection according to the Comprehensive Ranking System totaling 1,200.
Step two - Invitation to apply: CIC will invite candidates who score highest to apply for Permanent Residency. Subject to eligibility & admissibility, candidates may get PR within six months.
